Treatment For Depression In Orange County

We are mental health professionals with the ability to provide a customized treatment plan for depression, anxiety and other mental health medical conditions. We will review your medication history to see what has and hasn’t worked for you. If your depression symptoms have not been improving, you may have treatment resistant depression. This occurs in about 30% of the population so you are not alone. Our team of professionals will review options like TMS- transcranial magnetic stimulation. TMS is a non-invasive treatment that was approved by the FDA in 2008 for depression. The treatment delivers magnetic pulses to specific parts of the brain that regulate mood and  help restore your mental health with minimal or no side effects.

Depression Screening

If you identify with any of the common depression symptoms, you may be experiencing or at-risk of developing severe depression. Here at A Better Way, we offer an online quiz to help you identify your symptoms. Our quiz is not a full replacement for a consultation appointment, where a healthcare professional would diagnose you in person. However, it is a great starting point for individuals who do not know where to begin on their treatment journey.

Or, fill out our convenient online form if you are ready to schedule a consultation. Consultations are a low pressure opportunity to discuss depression symptoms with a healthcare professional at A Better Way.

TMS therapy is effective in treating depression symptoms

A Better Way Psychiatry and TMS Clinic offers a treatment option for individuals struggling with mood disorders like depression. Using TMS, we target the regions of the brain that are responsible for mood and stimulate them. Stimulation tends to result in improved brain function and an overall improvement in depressive symptoms over the course of treatment. There are very few side effects of TMS. It is a great treatment option for individuals whose previous treatment options were unsuccessful. Patients who have tried support groups, talk therapy, electroconvulsive therapy (ect), and other options may have better success with TMS therapy. People with depression whose treatment-resistant depression symptoms are no longer manageable have options. Request a consultation to get more information to see if TMS is right for you.
